Shannon Barkhouse works as an Assistant to Mortgage Agent Jamie Small. In 2002 Shannon left the high tech world and got her start at one of the Big 5 banks in their sales training program. She quickly realized that she had a passion for the support side of things and made a move to work in the main Mortgage support unit of her bank in downtown Ottawa. Eventually she went on to support one of the bank’s traveling mortgage agents. In 2005 Shannon left the bank when her agent became an independent Mortgage Broker. Shannon now has nearly 10 years experience in the financial industry, mainly in mortgage support. She has a high attention to detail and a strong commitment to customer service.

Education:

Bachelor of Computer Science with Specialization in Business Information Processing, Acadia University

Personal:

Shannon lives in Barrhaven with her husband Mike and their two boys, Logan and Reece. She is an active volunteer within her community and at Logan’s school. Recently the family has taken on the challenge of fostering a puppy with Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind.
